The Camp
Severin Safari Camp is located inside Tsavo National park. It lies about 40 kilometres from Mtito Andei and is set amongst the volcanic landscape and with fresh waters of the Mzima and Kitani Springs. The surrounding area is rich in all forms of wildlife.
At Severin Safari Camp there is early morning coffee or tea is served to your tent and in the evening a special tent service is available to your private veranda for ice cold drinks.
The main building which overlooks the lit up water hole, consists of reception with international telephone facility, "Safari Boutique", the "Out of Africa Restaurant" with lounge and "Thorn Tree Bar". The evening camp fire creates the Out of Africa touch for that ... away from it all feeling.
Severin Safari Camp Severin Sea Lodge Mombasa has been the leader in environmental protection in Kenya and the Severin Safari Camp is no exception. Special attention has been given in the design of the camp to protect the sensitive eco system in the park.
Getting to Severin Safari Camp
To get to Severin Safari Camp in Tsavo West, you will drive for approximately 4 hours from Nairobi through Mtito Andei and then turning into Tsavo West for 40 Kms inside the park.
From Mombasa it is approximately 3 hours through Mtito Andei Gate.
Accommodation and Room features at Severin Safari Camp
Accommodation is in 20 unique octagonal tents (approx. 30 sq m) as well as the Kibo Suite equipped with a luxurious bath tub and private viewing terrace.
Each tent has hot and cold water, shower and separate toilet and bidet facilities. The comfortable beds with duvet and mosquito net, guarantees a luxurious night's sleep in the bush.
Remarks
A unique biological treatment plant and separation of garbage with a new technology of creating the hot water from the lighting generators, ensures that mankind and the wildlife are in perfect harmony.
