Day 4: Visit Lake Nakuru

After breakfast drive to nearby Lake Nakuru National Park for a game drive. Lake Nakuru Park started life as a bird sanctuary before becoming a National Park. The lake itself is shallow and strongly alkaline which attracts huge flocks of flamingos that dapple the shoreline. It is home to herds of zebra, waterbuck, and buffalo as well as the endangered Rothschild giraffe and other mammals.

It is also possible to see a pride of lions during game drives and it's one of the best places in Kenya to spot leopards. The park is an important sanctuary for white and endangered black rhinos which can be seen resting in the shade of acacia trees on the lake shore. Later return to Loldia House for overnight.

Day 5: Flight Naivasha to Maasai Mara

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for a flight to Maasai Mara reserve. The Maasai Mara is the most popular reserve in Kenya setting the scene for the Great Migration that occurs annually between June and October. Over 1 million wildebeest flood the reserve after traveling north from the Serengeti in Tanzania, along with large herds of other herbivores all looking for the best grazing. Closely following the herbivores are the predators, most notably lions and hyenas. Overnights at Governors Camp.
