Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
On your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our representative. You will be escorted to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel.
Day 2: Nairobi Tour
After breakfast, your guide will meet you for a safari briefing. You will then depart for a full-day tour of Nairobi – the “City in the Sun.” You will visit the museum, the Karen Blixen Museum, and the Giraffe Centre. Return to the hotel for lunch. At 1800 hours, you will be picked up for dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant. Overnight at Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel.
Day 3: Fly from Nairobi to Amboseli
This morning, after an early breakfast, you will be picked up for your 40-minute flight to Amboseli National Park. Nestled in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park is home to the legendary Maasai people and is world-famous for its variety of wildlife.
On arrival at the Amboseli National Park airstrip, you will be picked up by the camp’s 4x4 customized safari vehicles for transfer to the camp. Enjoy a short game drive on your way to the lodge. Lunch will be served at the camp.
At 1630 hours, embark on an afternoon game drive scheduled to run until sunset. You will return to the camp for a steam bath followed by a sumptuous dinner. Overnight at Tortilis Camp.
Day 4: Amboseli National Park
This day is dedicated to delightful game-viewing activities. After the early morning game drive, you will return to the camp for lunch. Spend the early afternoon at leisure, perhaps enjoying a swim in the camp’s swimming pool.
At 1630 hours, proceed for an afternoon game drive until sunset. Dinner and overnight at Tortilis Camp.
Day 5: Fly from Amboseli to Nairobi – Drive to Nanyuki
This morning, after breakfast, you will fly back to Nairobi. Then enjoy a scenic drive through the highlands of central Kenya to Mount Kenya.
You will stay at the Mount Kenya Safari Club – an exclusive property set on the slopes of Mount Kenya. You will arrive in time for lunch. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure at the club. Dinner and overnight at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club.
Day 6: Mount Kenya
Today you will enjoy game viewing in the surrounding area, including Ol Pejeta Conservancy. This is where you will find the chimpanzee sanctuary run by the Jane Goodall Institute. Dinner and overnight at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club.
Day 7: Fly from Mount Kenya to Maasai Mara
This morning, you will transfer to the airstrip for a flight over the Great Rift Valley to the majestic savannah of the Maasai Mara.
On arrival, you will be picked up from the airstrip and transferred to Fairmont Mara Safari Club for lunch. At 1630 hours, proceed for a game drive across the vast, dotted plains of the Mara. Return to the luxury tented camp for dinner and overnight at Fairmont Mara Safari Club.
Day 8: Maasai Mara Safari Club
Enjoy a full day of game-viewing activities in the Maasai Mara. All meals and overnight at Fairmont Mara Safari Club.
Day 9: Fly from Maasai Mara to Mombasa
Optional hot air balloon safari beginning at 0630 hours. After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. From there, connect to a 1-hour onward flight to Mombasa.
On arrival at Mombasa Airport, you will be met by a Hallmark Travel Planner representative and transferred to Funzi Keys.
Funzi Keys is a sophisticated and exotic oasis of luxury, located on an island off the Kenyan coast. Ten spacious cottages are set along the shoreline, constructed of stone and thatch, with large netted windows open to the refreshing sea breeze. Stone-mounted Jacuzzis offer stunning sea views, while your private campfire is lit every night in your oceanfront sitting area.
Day 10 – Day 13: Funzi Island
Spend your days at leisure on Funzi Island. All meals and overnight at Funzi Keys.
Day 14: Transfer to Airport – Fly Mombasa to Nairobi – Departure
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Nairobi and onward international connection.
