Tour Preview
This safari itinerary covers: Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Lake Naivasha is famous for a boat trip to the lake to view Hippos and different kinds of bird species. Masai Mara Game Reserve, the jewel park of Kenya, and Lake Nakuru National Park, which is termed as the home to White and Black Rhinos as well as Flamingos. Experience the rich culture of the Maasai people by visiting one of their Villages (Manyatta).
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park.
Pick up from the Nairobi hotel or the airport in the early morning. Depart Nairobi for Amboseli National Park, a drive of less than 5 hours to Amboseli, which lies on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will arrive with a short game drive, proceeding to your lodge for check-in and lunch. Check in at your hotel.
Later afternoon, more game drives. Mount Kilimanjaro offers scenic backgrounds for photography. Elephants, Lions, cheetahs, and Buffalo can be seen in the swamp area. Later dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or AA Lodge Amboseli
Day 2: Amboseli Full day
Early morning game drive and later return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, a full day spent in the park with a packed lunch in search of its popular residents like the well-known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, and Hippo, with a view of Mt Kilimanjaro. Later return to your camp for dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or AA Lodge Amboseli
Day 3: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National Park
Early morning breakfast before departure for Lake Nakuru National Park. You will have lunch en route to Nairobi. Then proceed on to Lake Nakuru for an evening game drive. Besides the flamingos that Lake Nakuru is famous for, there are approximately 400 other species of birds found there.
In addition, a large variety of games can be found in the Park, including the introduced Rothschild's Giraffe, Black and White Rhino, Waterbuck, Reedbuck, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Baboon, and many species of plains game. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Nakuru Lodge or Flamingo Hills Camp.
Day 4:Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve
After a leisurely breakfast at your lodge, depart overland to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, the jewel of Kenya's Game Parks. This enormous reserve, which is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains, is famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is a true home of the big five: elephant, Leopard, Rhino, and Cape Buffalo. After lunch, explore the Reserve on a late evening 'Spice' game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or Sentrim Mara Camp.
Day 5: Explore the Maasai Mara Game Reserve
The Masai Mara is one of the greatest wildernesses in the world. Morning and afternoon 'Spice' game drives are planned. Large mammals are varied, abundant, and easy to see. Residents among the park mammals are: the Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Impala, Zebra, Topi, and both the Thomson's and Grant's Gazelles. Optional hot Air Balloon rides are available on this day at an additional cost. On this final day in the Mara, you also have an opportunity to visit an authentic Masai village. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or Sentrim Mara Camp.
Day 6: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi
Begin today with an early morning 'Spice' game drive followed by a complete English breakfast.
