Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu Game Reserve
This morning, we travel by road to Kenya’s northern frontier. Wild and rugged, Samburu is fiercely beautiful, with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Uaso Nyiro River. It is also one of Kenya’s most protected areas and home to species found only north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe to Grevy’s zebras and Beisa oryxes.
We will stay at Larsen Tented Camp or Samburu Intrepids Camp, luxurious properties set beneath a canopy of acacia trees along the banks of the river.
Overnight at Sarova Shaba Lodge or Samburu Sopa Lodge.

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu Game Reserve
Dawn breaks in golden hues as we begin our day by scanning the river from our tent veranda with a cup of steaming coffee in hand. Before the dew dries, we set out in search of elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands.
The day is spent alternating between game drives and relaxation at the camp.

Day 3: Samburu – Aberdares or Mount Kenya National Park (Forest Tree Lodge)
This morning, we depart Samburu and proceed south to The Ark Forest Lodge or Serena Mountain Lodge. Nestled in the foothills between the Aberdares and Mount Kenya National Park, the lodge is famous for its elevated viewing decks overlooking a salt lick and waterhole.
Renowned for excellent wildlife sightings, the lodge offers some of the finest high-altitude game viewing experiences.
Overnight at The Ark Forest Lodge, Serena Mountain Lodge, or Treetops Lodge.

Day 4: Aberdares (Forest Tree Lodge) – Amboseli National Park
This morning, we depart our lodge and drive through the scenic Athi Plains into Amboseli National Park, home to the legendary Maasai tribes and famous for its large elephant herds. A game drive is included en route.
After lunch, we enjoy another exciting game drive. Amboseli is known for its diverse wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and giraffes.
Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, can often be seen from the lodges used during the safari.
Overnight at Amboseli Sentrim Camp or Amboseli Sopa Lodge.

Day 5: Amboseli National Park
We rise early for clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds gather around the summit. A morning game drive introduces you to the rich wildlife of the park.
After breakfast, there is a visit to a Maasai village. Later, enjoy lunch at the lodge followed by some rest before heading out for another game drive in the afternoon.
The Maasai are a proud, semi-nomadic people known for their rich culture and traditions.
Overnight at Amboseli Sentrim Camp or Amboseli Sopa Lodge.

Day 6: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi
After an early morning game drive and breakfast at the lodge, we return by road to Nairobi and drop you at your hotel.
You may also choose to extend your journey with additional safari options such as visiting the Masai Mara Game Reserve, Lake Nakuru National Park, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, or relaxing on the white sandy beaches of Mombasa along the Indian Ocean.
You can also visit a children’s orphanage, explore local shops, or simply relax before your departure.
