Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
JAMBO – KARIBU!! An Exploring Tourism representative will warmly meet you upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with a traditional and unique welcome (bubbly, wet towels, and presentation of an authentic safari hat along with a beautiful canvas pouch filled with safari essentials).
Your driver-guide will assist with your transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Amboseli National Park.
Upon arrival, the lodge/camp’s driver-guide will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you to your lodge/camp with a short game drive en route, followed by check-in and lunch.
In the afternoon, depart in a customized 4x4 safari vehicle for your first game drive, set against the backdrop of Africa’s tallest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to your luxury camp/lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Tortilis Camp.
Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives within the park.
Amboseli offers some of the most breathtaking views in Africa and is one of the best places to capture stunning photographs of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). The park is famous for its large herds of elephants and classic African landscapes.
Wildlife commonly seen includes lions, buffalo, cheetahs, giraffes, baboons, gazelles, hippos, and wildebeest. It is also an ornithological paradise with over 400 species of birds, diverse flora, and fauna. Meals and overnight at your luxury camp/lodge.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park – Samburu
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Samburu via Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be warmly met by the camp driver-guide and transferred to Elephant Bedroom Camp with an en-route game drive.
After a warm welcome and lunch, enjoy a short siesta before heading out for an afternoon game drive.
The Samburu region is known for its unique northern species, including the gerenuk (also called the giraffe gazelle), Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and Grevy’s zebra. The region is also rich in birdlife, including species such as the palm-nut vulture and the vulturine guineafowl. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 4: Samburu Game Reserve
Enjoy a full day exploring Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives.
This region continues to offer excellent opportunities to spot rare northern species and a wide variety of birds. Relax between game drives and enjoy the serene wilderness surroundings—meals and overnight at the camp.
Day 5: Samburu – Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. Upon arrival at Ole Kiombo Airstrip, you will be met by your camp driver-guide and transferred to Tipilikwani Mara Camp for check-in and lunch.
In the afternoon, head out for an exciting game drive across the vast rolling plains. The reserve is home to lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, rhinos, topi, Burchell’s zebra, and Masai giraffes.
The Masai Mara never disappoints, offering incredible wildlife sightings and a diverse range of birdlife. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in one of Africa’s most famous wildlife reserves. Keep an eye out for the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino.
You may even witness a dramatic predator hunt during your safari. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Balloon safari over the Mara plains
Visit a traditional Masai manyatta and experience local culture
Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Ole Kiombo Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi.
Upon arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be met by your driver-guide and transferred to the Carnivore Restaurant for lunch (time permitting), followed by a transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
End of tour.
